Below are the details of the service you require.
1.Your Cat(s)/Small Pets:We can visityourpet once or twice a day, either am, pm or both. Wewill give them cuddles and some playtime as well as put out their food, change their water andlitter tray. If you would like an additional lunchtime to visit just forplaytime/companionship/grooming, wewould be more than happy to do so.
2.Fees:We charge £10 per visitfor up to 4 cats & £12 per visit for more than 4. Bank holidayswe charge double time and we have a premium rate for Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year.
3.Extras:As part of the service, we can open/shut curtains/blinds, alternate lights, pick up yourdaily post so it is notleftlying on the floor, put out your bins and follow any instructions toensureyourhome is looked after.
4.Keys:Clients are welcome to drop their keys off to our HelpingHands main office in Low Fell,where we will keep your keys locked securely away unless out with one of our cat ladies. Yourkey can be kept securely with us for future visits, which means we are ready to go for your nexttrip away or any last-minute trips that may come up. Please ensure thatyourkeys work properlyespecially if you have a new key cut.If you wish for your key to be collected there will be afee of £5.
5.Parking:Please can you inform us of any parking restrictions when visiting your home.Weask clients to leaveparking permitsif they are required to display one by local councils.If theCat Ladies are required to pay for parking whilst visiting your pet this will be added toyour fee.
6.Cat Food and Litter:Clients must leave enough cat food and litter for the duration of thebooking. We are happy to purchase extra supplies but do charge an£8 shopping fee plus thecost of the goods.
7.Christmas Bookings:Christmas and Boxing Day are very popular, so we cap the amount ofbookings accepted. Once fully booked on these days we will only be able to take emergencybookings. We advise you to make your booking as soon as you know your festive plans.
8.Payments:We ask for these in advance and can be made online. If you are unable to payonline, we accept cash or cheque payments that we ask you to leave in your home ready for usto collect on your pets first visit.
9. Your pet’s welfare is our priority therefore this service is for daily visits only, we DO NOT offer a service to visit every-other day.
10. Helping Hands Cat Ladies visiting hours are 6am until 8pm.
11. Time spent at visits can vary due to different factors such as the pet’s routine, pet not in the property when we attend, shy pets, unexpected events etc but visits are always thoroughly provided and the pets needs met.
12. Clients need to be aware that unexpected events can happen, i.e. severe weather, staff sickness, traffic delays, poorly pets, which may cause a visit to be time managed, particularly if this is a Breakfast visit. Your pet will ALWAYS be visited even though it may be for a shorter time than usual, and it may include 2 members of staff attending your property to help time manage the visit.
13. Clients must leave enough cat food and litter for the duration of their booking. We are happy to purchase extra supplies but do charge an £8 shopping fee plus the cost of the goods.
14. During Christmas holidays if a booking is running before and after Christmas day, clients cannot skip a visit on Christmas day. Our duty of care is to the pets; therefore Helping Hands Policy is to visit at least once every day.
15. Helping Hands Cat Ladies Service is charged at the rate of Treble time per visit for Christmas Day, Double time per visit for Boxing Day & New year’s Day, Bank Holiday Mondays.
16. Once your service has commenced clients are not refunded for their booking fee due to a client’s cancelled trip or early return.
17. Clients are responsible to check any new keys that they have had cut and are providing to Helping Hands, that the key works correctly and unlocks the relevant door.
18. Helping Hands Cat Ladies are not liable for any accidental damage to furniture or flooring due to searching to allocate your pet to have a visual and to check your pet’s welfare or to rescue your pet from it being trapped in furniture / flooring. We provide a basic clean-up of cat sick / fur balls/ poop. If any floorboards, upholstery, carpets needing professional cleaning due to your pet, Helping Hands are not liable. Helping Hands provide maximum care for your pets but will not be liable for any pets who run away or become ill if not informed by owners of their pet’s health problems or change to routine.
19. It is your responsibility as the owner to ensure that your cat is treated for fleas and worms, (this includes indoor cats) Helping Hands Cat Ladies will not be held responsible if your cat catches fleas.
20. Helping Hands enforce a penalty charge of £15 for any cheques that are refused by a client’s bank. There will be a late payment fee of £10 if payment is not made by the time you return.
21. Any client refusing to pay their fee will receive a Non-Payment letter with an added £35 administration cost. Constant refusal to settle your fee will lead to court action and costs.
22. If we key hold for a client and they do not use the Helping Hands Cat Ladies service for a minimum of 18 months, your key will be either returned or disposed of to make room in the key safes for clients using the service more regularly
23. Helping Hands Cat Ladies are an independent business and do not collaborate with people in the same industry. If a Helping Hands Cat Ladies Client is using another Pet Service as well as Helping Hands, the client will have their key returned and will no longer be accepted as a client.
